Readying PH for an electric vehicle industry

While the government has been keen to introduce electric vehicles (EVs) in the country, the Philippines has yet to make big strides in the electrification of the motoring scene.

In a study survey by market research firm Frost & Sullivan commissioned by Nissan, the Philippines is one of the top three countries willing to adopt electric vehicles along with Thailand and Indonesia. The study also said that better safety standards, environmental awareness, and the low charging costs are the key factors that can motivate Southeast Asians into buying an EV.
