World Bank backs wind power devt

OFFSHORE wind projects can become a pillar of the Philippines' clean energy future, an executive of the World Bank Group (WBG) said.

'We believe that, with deliberate efforts, offshore wind can become a pillar of Philippines' clean energy future,' Jie Tang, WBG Energy Practice Manger for East Asia and Pacific Region, said during the consultation on the Offshore Roadmap for the Philippines held by the Department of Energy and World Bank Group in early December.
