DoE okays Meralco CSP for 170MW supply

THE Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) can now proceed with the competitive selection process (CSP) for the supply of 170 megawatts of peaking power following the Department of Energy's (DoE) approval of its Terms of Reference (TOR).

The TOR that will allow Meralco to proceed with the emergency procurement for the supply needed to meet the anticipated increase in demand in the coming months, according to Meralco Head of Regulatory Management Office Atty. Jose Ronald V. Valles.
