ZAMBOANGA CITY: A boy was killed and another was wounded when a suspected mortar bomb they were tinkering exploded on Monday at a beachfront near a navy base here, police said.
Police said the victims found the bomb and started hammering it when it exploded, instantly killing 12-year-old Erickson Bantuhan in the village of Rio Hondo.
