THROUGH the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), the Provincial Government of Bulacan received three awards in the recently held The Outstanding Population Structure (TOPS) Regional Award 2021, spearheaded by the Commission on Population and Development-Region 3 at the City of San Fernando, Pampanga on December 15 for its implementation of population and development program in the province. In a ceremonial awarding on Thursday during the 'Pangkalahatang Pagtitipon ng mga Lingkod Lingap sa Nayon (LLN) and Mother-Leaders' held at the capitol's gymnasium, PSWDO Head and Provincial Population Officer Rowena Tiongson presented the awards to Gov. Daniel Fernando. Tiongson said the Province of Bulacan was awarded Best in Adolescent Health and Development Component as well as Best in Population and Development Integration Component, and it landed 3rd place in Over-All in Population Program Implementation. Fernando gave the credit to the LLNs and mother-leaders in the province for the recognition that the province has received and commended them for being the Provincial Government of Bulacan's partners in the implementation of development programs in each community. Accordingly, TOPS aims to recognize local government units with outstanding and exemplary practice in the massive implementation of the Philippine Population and Development Program.
