PH shares record back-to-back gains

THE Philippine index managed to extend its climb on Friday and end a few points away from the 7,300 level as investors bought shares at the last minute.

The local stock barometer Philippine Stock Exchange index increased by 0.89 percent, or 64.40 points, to its day high of 7,297.66, while the wider All Shares gained 0.4 percent, or 15.48 points, to end at 3,851.59.
