THE Senate, in a voice vote with only one objection, passed on Tuesday, December 14, Senate Bill (SB) 2239 or the Vaporized Nicotine Product measure that aims to regulate the use of e-cigarettes and heated tobacco products in the Philippines.
In endorsing SB 2239, Senate President Pro Tempore Ralph Recto, the sponsor of the bill, said, "It is good public policy for people smoking to shift to these types [vaporized nicotine] of products.
