SOME 50,000 workers in the transport sector have lost their jobs because of the implementation of the terminal exchanges scheme, according to the Nagkaisang Samahan ng Mga Nangangasiwa ng Panlalawigang Bus sa Pilipinas Inc. (NSNPBPI)
Union president Gerry Danila on Tuesday said that among those who lost their jobs were drivers, conductors and support staff — the backbone of the transport sector.
