Pfizer jab 90% effective for children

THE pharmaceutical company Pfizer said clinical trials showed that its Covid-19 vaccine is more than 90-percent effective for children aged 5 to 11 years old, according to Food and Drug Authority (FDA) Director General Dr. Rolando Enrique 'Eric' Domingo.

Pfizer submitted an emergency use application (EUA) to the FDA last week to administer its vaccine to the younger population group, and Domingo said the EUA is under review.
