'Filipino is free but democracy a work in progress'

THE country is free, President Rodrigo Duterte said, as he vowed that the work continues for Philippine democracy.

In his intervention during the virtual Summit for Democracy that was hosted by the United States (US), the President said that while the Philippines is considered the oldest democracy in Asia, its system of governance is 'not perfect.'
