MAJ. GEN. Romeo Brawner Jr. formally assumed his post on Friday as the 65th commanding general of the 100,000-strong Philippine Army (PA) in a change of command ceremony at Camp Emilio Aguinaldo (CGEA) in Quezon City.

Brawner replaced Lt. Gen. Andres Castor Centino who is now serving as Armed Forces of the Philippines' (AFP) chief of staff.
