Afghanistan foils weapons smuggling

KABUL: Police in Afghanistan's eastern Paktika province have foiled attempts to smuggle weapons and have arrested one person, the state-run news agency Bakhtar reported. The man, according to the news agency, was attempting to traffic 38 pieces of assault rifles including M4, AK-47 and some pistols out of the province. He has been arrested and handed over to concerned authorities for investigation.
