Govt earmarks P62B for 32 more Black Hawk choppers

DEFENSE Secretary Delfin Lorenzana said that the government has earmarked a total of P62 billion for the purchase of 32 Black Hawk helicopters, as well as six offshore patrol vessels, in a bid to further strengthen the Philippine military.

In a statement issued late Tuesday, Lorenzana told reporters that they are forming a deal for the Black Hawk helicopters with PZL Mielec, Poland.
