The government's outstanding debt reached a new high of P11.97 trillion at the end of October, according to the Bureau of Treasury (BTr).
The latest figure, which the BTr released on Wednesday, was up 0.46 percent, or P54.48 billion, from P11.91 trillion a month before. "Of the total debt stock, 29.3 percent was sourced externally while 70.7 percent were domestic borrowings," the Treasury said in a statement.
