SC affirms decision that cleared Cebu governor

THE Supreme Court has affirmed the ruling of the Court of Appeals (CA) that cleared Cebu Gov. Gwendolyn "Gwen" Garcia of grave misconduct over an allegedly anomalous P98-million purchase of a Cebu estate.

In a decision promulgated by division clerk of court Librada Buena, the High Court's First Division held that the appellate court was right when it absolved Garcia of administrative liability due to her reelection.
