The Philippine stock index dropped for a third consecutive time on Monday as pandemic worries amid the emergence of the new Covid-19 variant haunted investor sentiment.

The benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) fell by 1.07 percent or 77.56 points to 7,200.88, while the wider All Shares declined by 0.86 percent or 33.26 points to close at 3,838.13.
