DoH wants HK included in travel ban; warns vs lowering Covid alert

HEALTH Secretary Francisco Duque 3rd on Saturday said that the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) has recommended the inclusion of Hong Kong in the travel ban to prevent the spread of the newly-discovered Omicron variant of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).

Duque also changed his stand on a proposal to further downgrade the quarantine status of Metro Manila to Alert Level 1 due to the emergence of a new variant.
