Palace urges Congress anew to pass FOI bill before Duterte's term ends

MALACAÑANG has appealed anew to Congress to pass the Freedom of Information (FOI) bill before the term of President Rodrigo Duterte ends in 2022.

In his prerecorded speech during the FOI Awards on Thursday, Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar said the implementation of the FOI Program in the executive branch has already proved itself useful in promoting effective governance and ensuring public welfare, especially in crisis situations.
