Tobacco-producing local government units (LGUs) will receive a total of P46.08 billion from the national government's excise tax receipts in 2018 and 2019, according to the Department of Budget and Management (DBM).
DBM officer in charge Tina Rose Marie Canda said in a memorandum signed on November 22 and issued on Thursday that local governments' portion of tobacco excise tax receipts in 2018 and 2019 totaled P21.27 billion and P24.81 billion, respectively.
