Congressional aspirant in Benguet pulls out

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet: The number of candidates for the lone congressional seat in Benguet was trimmed to four following the surprise withdrawal of former governor Crescencio Pacalso from the race.

Pacalso, who filed his certificate of candidacy for representative of Benguet under the Partido Reporma, submitted his withdrawal documents at the Baguio-Benguet field office of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) late Monday afternoon.
