The National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) streamed the musical "Lapulapu, ang Datu ng Mactan" during the media launch in October at the newly-conserved Metropolitan Theater (MET). It is the first theatrical production at the MET since it closed its doors in 1996.

The public presentation is part of the Quincentennial Commemorations in the Philippines, the Year of Filipino Pre-Colonial Ancestors, as well as the National Indigenous Peoples' Month in October and shown for free on iWantTV until December 31.
