A Fitch Group unit believes that the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) will begin raising its key interest rates next year as economic signs point to growth.
"We at Fitch Solutions forecast the BSP to begin its hiking cycle in 2022, forecasting the policy rate to rise from 2.00 percent as of end-2021 to 2.75 percent by end-2022," it said in a research released on Monday.
