Killing of election officer probed

TACLOBAN CITY: The Philippine National Police (PNP) in Northern Samar has been tasked to thoroughly investigate the death of a municipal election officer of Lope de Vega who was ambushed in the town of Catarman on November 18, Thursday.

Col. Arnel Apud, PNP Northern Samar provincial director, has ordered a probe into the killing of acting election officer James Diaz Maghanoy who was shot to death by an unidentified gunman at Barangay Somoge, Catarman, Northern Samar.
