TRUCKS and carmakers agree that the local automotive industry is recovering following a slump last year, but admit it will take two years for sales to return to pre-pandemic levels.

"The auto industry has been showing signs of recovery," Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc. (Campi) President and Toyota Motors Philippines Inc. First Vice President Rommel Gutierrez said during The Manila Times' "Turbocharging the Local Motoring Trade" forum on Friday.
