Duterte vows better PH-Japan relations

PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte and new Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida affirmed their shared commitment to broaden and deepen their countries' strong relations, with the Filipino leader calling Tokyo as 'unrivaled among our bilateral partners.'

The two leaders' commitment was made through a telephone conversation, during which Duterte congratulated the Japanese government for the success of the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympic Games, Malacañang said.
