Health workers set to receive boosters

FULLY vaccinated health care workers will be the first in line to receive a booster dose against Covid-19 starting today, November 17, according to the Department of Health (DoH).

The administration of boosters comes after studies have shown that the current crop of vaccines has shown waning immunity against symptomatic Covid-19 infection, but remains effective in preventing severe disease and even death.
