WHAT happens when an immovable object meets an unstoppable force? Mutual self-destruction — and we hope the events yesterday on the substitution plays won't lead to this for the administration. An immovable object is "fixed and cannot be moved" while an unstoppable force is more "forceful and fearful cause it sweeps away any object, irrespective of the size or mass that comes in its path." In order to be an unstoppable force, it ought to possess infinite energy. An immovable object is non-submissive to any force or any magnitude. Hence, it won't shift from its place.

So, who is PRRD and his daughter, Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte (ISD)? Is PRRD the unstoppable force and ISD, the immovable object? Both the immovable and unstoppable are kinds of unbeatable forces. The only way to be unaffected by a force is to not interact with it at all, and apparently, ISD seems to be doing that in a Zen-like behavior; even invoking Brahma Kumaris' "the drama of life consists of elements of both destiny and freedom of choice."
