MIDSAYAP, North Cotabato: North Cotabato Gov. Nancy Catamco on Wednesday opposed calls for abolition of the government's National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-Elcac).

Executive Order 70 seeks to institutionalize the whole-of-nation approach and establish the NTF-Elcac to pave the way for collective participation and action in harmonizing government development efforts and services to support, facilitate and pursue the country's peace agenda by regularly bringing government basic services to the communities in the countryside.
