IN the course of the second year of pandemic isolation, I was brought virtually to some interesting experiences and subjects by way of two books that came my way from their authors.

The first book, Under the Bridge, arrived in July by courier service. It was from Miguel 'Mike' Patolot, longtime journalist with Business Day in the time of its founder, Raul Locsin. A word about Raul Locsin. He was one of the country's foremost journalists in business, founder of Business Day and a beacon of journalistic ethics and accurate and clear reporting to which he gave the journalists with him the example and opportunity to learn. He was given the Ramon Magsaysay Award.
