DA seeks to boost fertilizer subsidy

THE Department of Agriculture (DA) said it is currently working to boost fundings and increase the fertilizer subsidy it provides to local farmers as prices of this commodity continue to increase.

In a press conference on Tuesday, Ariel Cayanan, Agriculture undersecretary for operations, told the media that the DA, as directed by Agriculture Secretary William Dar, is now 'sourcing' additional funds to fuel the agency's fertilizer subsidy given to Filipino rice farmers.
