THE Philippines logged 4,043 new cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), pushing the total number of infections to 2.78 million, according to the Department of Health (DoH).
Of the total, 50,630 or 19.4 percent are active cases. The rest range from moderate to critical and from mild to asymptomatic.
