Marriage and dismissal of rape case

Dear PAO,

We recently learned that a case for rape was filed against my godson by his then girlfriend, who is now his wife. His wife remembered that her brother took her to an office in the city hall where she filed a complaint for rape but did not bother to follow up on it because she said they were able to patch their problem and eventually got married. Do you think that the case against my godson can be dismissed?|
