AKSYON Demokratiko presidential candidate and Manila Mayor Francisco 'Isko Moreno' Domagoso, should he win in the May 2022 polls, will require all local government units (LGUs) to have more involvement in his recovery plan for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) that were forced to either shut down operations or retrench their workforces.

MSMEs comprise 99.5 percent of businesses in the country and employ 63 percent of the total workforce. They also contribute 40 percent of the gross domestic product, according to the local chief executive.
