Manila Bay ground commander sacked

THE Manila Bay Task Force ground commander has been relieved of his post over the recent overcrowding incident at the so-called dolomite beach, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) announced on Wednesday.

Environment Secretary Roy Cimatu said he ordered the relief of Jacob Meimban as the agency conducts an investigation.
