The Mobile Number Portability (MNP) Act has not met expectations that it will be a game changer in the telecommunications sector, ACT Teachers Rep. France Castro said.
Castro attributed MNP's seeming failure to excite and encourage people to switch networks to the late adoption of MNP in the country in light of shift to data usage where applications rendered MNP irrelevant; many Filipinos have dual SIMs that they want to keep; and customers who already experienced switching providers.
