Duterte to Asean: 'Stand with Myanmar'

AS he reiterated the need for nations in the Southeast Asian Region to not cease in their united pursuit for peace and stability, President Rodrigo Duterte urged his fellow leaders to 'stand with Myanmar' as it continues to be embroiled in a political crisis.

In a statement released by Malacañang at the start of the 38th and 39th Asean Summit and Related Summits last Tuesday night, the Chief Executive expressed hope Myanmar will arrive at a peaceful end to the turmoil 'for the welfare of its people'.
