THE Development Budget Coordination Committee (DBCC) said that the government will release P1 billion in cash grants to more than 100,000 public utility vehicle (PUV) drivers affected by the increase in oil prices.

In a joint statement on Monday, the Department of Budget and Management, the Department of Finance, and the National Economic and Development Authority said the amount will be given to 178,000 PUV drivers.
