Arthur Espiritu, an excellent Filipino-American tenor (Part 1)

Filipino-American tenor Arthur Espiritu was born in Morong, Rizal then immigrated to the US in his teens with his parents. He finished his studies in music performance with an artist diploma from the Oberlin College Conservatory of Music under the studio of the late vocal pedagogy Richard Miller. He also earned his bachelor of arts and master's degrees in music performance from the University of New Orleans under the studio of Dr. Raquel Cortina.

Arthur is a winner of the distinguished 2009 George London Award. Furthermore, he won the La Scala Award at the Belvedere Competition in 2007. He then won top prizes in competitions such as the Irene Dalis Competition in Alabama, the Regional Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, numerous National Association of Teachers of Singing (Nats) competitions in the Southern District, and the National Opera Association Vocal Competition in New York.
