The Philippine bourse succumbed to profit taking on Friday, halting the market's six-day rally.

The local stock barometer Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) slipped by 0.3 percent, or 22.11 points, to 7,289.61 while the wider All Shares dipped 0.27 percent, or 12.22 points, to end at 4,462.70.
