THE Boracay Inter-Agency Task Force (BIATF) is hoping to fully vaccinate its general population by the end of October to fully open up the island destination to more tourists during the Christmas and New Year holidays.

In a press conference on Friday, Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat reported that the local government unit of Malay in Aklan province has vaccinated about 91 percent of its 34,930 projected population, which includes both active tourism workers and residents.
