A Brown's P5-B shares offering gets SEC nod

THE Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has approved the preferred shares offering of A Brown Co. Inc.

In a statement on Friday, the commission said it rendered effective the company's shelf registration, which covers up to 50 million cumulative, nonvoting, nonparticipating, nonconvertible and redeemable perpetual preferred shares.
