THE Philippine Nickel Industry Association (PNIA) is expecting a lower nickel production for full-year 2021, attributed to the shortage of incoming vessels as well as the typhoons that hampered mining operations.

"For this year, we expect that the production would be less overall for the nickel industry. We'll be down by 10 percent of our target," PNIA President Danto Bravo told the media during a press conference on Wednesday.
