The Maritime Industry Authority (Marina) Administrator VAdm Robert Empedrad said that the government might have already fully vaccinated around 300,000 seafarers nationwide, including seafarers in the inter-island trade.
During the virtual press conference that Marina held last week, Empedrad said that his upbeat estimate is premised on the recognition of local government units (LGUs) of the importance of giving priority in the inoculation of seafarers after they have been classified among A1 priority groups.
