Comelec: Fraud marred Lipa election in 2019

THE Commission on Elections (Comelec) has declared that electoral fraud occurred in Lipa City, Batangas during the 2019 mayoralty race.

In a decision dated Oct. 14, 2021 but released only recently, the Comelec's Second Division denied the motion for reconsideration, filed by Mayor Eric Africa, for the reason that the arguments were mere reiterations of arguments previously denied by the poll body in its earlier decisions.
