SC reinstates Abra town mayor

THE Supreme Court (SC) has upheld the election of Rovelyn Echave Villamor as mayor of Lagangilang, Abra during the May 2019 polls.

The ruling came after the SC annulled en banc the decision of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) that canceled the certificate of candidacy (CoC) filed by Villamor on the ground of false material representation.
