BSP net profit increases to P52B

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas' (BSP) net profit increased by triple digits in the first eight months of the year, according to figures released over the weekend.

The central bank's financial statement showed that it earned P52.95 billion over the period, rising 143.33 percent from P21.77 billion a year ago.
