I failed to substantiate my claim that my owner's duplicate of title was lost and beyond recovery; hence, my case was dismissed last year. I would like to refile the same after gathering additional proofs supporting my claim that my title was indeed lost. My friend discouraged me from filing the reconstitution of title, as this was allegedly barred by the previous decision of the court. Is this true?

Dear Albert,
The certificate of title (Torrens Title) is a proof of land ownership. The said certificate may come in an original and duplicate copy. The duplicate copy shall be given to the registered owner, and this is in consonance with Section 41 of Presidential Decree 1529, which states:
