Lawmaker named acting DPWH chief

PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte has appointed Southern Leyte Rep. Roger Mercado as acting secretary of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Malacañang said on Wednesday.

Palace spokesman Harry Roque Jr. confirmed Mercado's appointment.
