DepEd uses ancestral domain as classroom in IP education

THE Department of Education (DepEd) has been able to serve 2.5 million Indigenous people learners in the past 10 years of the country's IP education program.

In 2011, DepEd institutionalized the IP Education (IPEd) Program with DepEd Order 62 s. 2011 or the 'National Indigenous Peoples Education Policy Framework,' where learning resources are contextualized to better suit the social and cultural backgrounds of IP learners and teachers.
