Tourism recovery to start with domestic travel

Domestic travel is expected to prop up the badly-battered tourism sector as the government slowly relaxes restrictions implemented to curb the Covid-19 pandemic.

'Despite the impending threat of the Covid-19 variants to the tourism industry, we remain hopeful that the tourism industry may continue a steady trajectory for the remainder of 2021,' Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo Puyat told The Manila Times.
